Steve Nicholls began working with Volvo in the Parts Dept at Lex Brooklands, Regents Park during 1975. He built an interest in the Volvo models and the components used to maintain them.In 1982 he joined Braydon Motor Co. a Volvo specialist that lacked a Part’s Department. He grew the parts inventory to include original manufacturer’s parts and aftermarket, the aim to make owning a Volvo more affordable. In 1990 he added Volvo car dismantling.Braydon was a successful business until in 2015 the site which the company rented was sold for housing. The company was unable to relocate locally and was forced to close down.He continued to trade in Volvo Parts under the name of Trust Car Parts.In 2023 he retired and moved home to Manningtree, Essex.It quickly became apparent that retirement was not what either he or his customers wanted. In April 2025 he formed a company Luba Motor Parts with his wife to give bespoke service to any Volvo owner, garage or specialist.The export of goods to African countries, the Caribbean , Sri Lanka and the EU are all possible.
